X Factor auditions come to Scarboro'bar and Brunswick

Budding stars of the future are being given the chance to audition for the X Factor in Scarborough.

Television's biggest search for a music star is back as The X Factor returns to ITV, with a new stellar judging panel and a dynamic new presenting duo.

The brand new super six sees Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora take their places at the judges' desk, while presenters Olly Murs and Caroline Flack will be guiding the search to find a potential pop star with an amazing voice and that extra special something.

The production crew will be holding open auditions on Tuesday March 15 from 10am to 6pm at the Brunswick Shopping Centre.

Victoria Mitchell, centre manager, said: “We are delighted that the X Factor has chosen to visit the Brunswick again after proving to be hugely popular last year.

“The auditions brought people of all ages into the shopping centre and we hope that people turn out again in force and show how much talent Scarborough and the Yorkshire Coast has.

“You never know we might just uncover this year’s winner here at the Brunswick.”

The auditions are for people 16 years and over only and after 4.30pm for those in full-time education.

Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and have a valid ID.

Auditions will also be held at Quids Inn in St Nicholas Street from 7.30pm the same evening.
