A quartet of youngsters from Mark Barber’s development group turned out for Leeds United’s Academy under-nines at the weekend.
Toby Beard, Harvey Holder, Sonny Oxley, and Under-eight Sutton Greening all played for Leeds against Category One side Blackburn.
Greening was playing a year above after impressing with the pre-Academy side.
Beard has been rewarded by been invited back into the academy on a trial basis after impressing the lead foundation and keeper coach.
Barber said: “I am very pleased and proud of the four boys, the standard was of a fantastic level and they will have learnt so much from the experience.
“This is the whole reason we set up our partnership with Leeds United to give the players this opportunity that they won’t get any where else.”
