Accused teachers should be anonymous

RE: TEACHER Assault Case.

As a part-time examination invigilator, I am in a unique position to witness the behaviour of pupils first hand and compare it with what it was like in my time when I attended grammar school back in the 60s!

Today, apart from a tiny minority, I find that children are hard working, well-behaved and polite.

However, this minority can be extremely disruptive and influence others who are easily distracted!

These few know that teachers cannot touch them and will actually seek confrontation in order to show off in front of others!

I certainly support the campaign for teachers accused of assaulting students to remain anonymous until a charge is proven as this would discourage malicious allegations.
