Allow for concessions

RE: PROPOSED concessionary fare increase on Park and Ride

I fear this will have a self defeating effect.

Many concessions will simply not visit Scarborough, and the grey pound will be spent elsewhere.

Many more will simply drive into town, and make an already bad traffic situation worse.

The concessions form a large percentage of the people who use the Park and Ride and without them we would see even more buses travelling completely empty, every 12 minutes.

I think the answer is to follow York’s lead, and apply a special concessionary fare. This could be 50p return, like in York, or even £1, which I would be quite happy to pay, to ensure that the Park and Ride continues to give us the excellent service that it presently does.
