Cliff worry

In the paper lately there has been a lot of articles about pulling the Futurist Theatre down and rebuilding a new one.

My concern is the well known Blands Cliff. I believe John Bland was given £84 in 1724 to build a way down to the beach. He built the ‘coach staithe’, and a road down to the foreshore, all this work is still there for all to see and use. It would be terrible if all this was disturbed by the removal of the Futurist. This is an historic street, joining the town to the seafront.
