RE: TOWN Hall debate
Councillor Roxanne Murphy’s letter in the Evening News was like a breath of fresh air after all the “smoke and mirrors” we have had from officials.
At a time when people are struggling with austerity, it beggars belief that such a move can be contemplated.
Scarborians have grumbled over parking charges, changes in refuse collection, the lack of jobs for our young people (incidentally, how many jobs were created out of the £1.4 billion allocated)? The horrendous idea of rock armour on the Spa.
If the grumblings are not heeded, the grumblings will grow into a roar, people will only stand so much.
Marching on the Town Hall in their thousands is not beyond the bounds of possibility, perhaps this is why the inhabitants are trying to get out of town quick.
