Hotel fobbed us off with excuses

We were pleased to see you gave coverage to the trauma suffered by elderly customers (six coach loads at least), it was truly a dreadful experience. Imagine a building the size of the Grand Hotel with no heating or hot water.

We were constantly fobbed off with different stories regarding the repairs, and when they may be done but it didn’t happen. There was a total lack of reassurance by the management. Britannia Hotels are the company by name, who obviously run it all on a shoestring. The building needs refurbishing totally.

It has been a beautiful building in its hey day. The outside appearance on arrival also made me suspect, hundreds of cigarette ends, plus filthy steps to the main entrance, service and food abysmal.

Then the heating failure just about topped it.

Just Go holidays need to think again about using this place.

And thank you again for helping our cause. Scarborough, at the moment, leaves a very nasty taste.
