In reply to Mr Faithfull’s letter about hounds (February 20).
They may be calm before the hunt starts, but during the frenzy of the chase their instinct kicks in, and so-called accidents occur.
As reported in the media, around Robin Hood’s Bay area, a pet cat was torn to pieces.
In another part of Yorkshire a lama was killed on property where a bridle path runs alongside, which the hunt use, along with numerous incidents involving foxes and people’s pets being attacked by hounds.
I would like to inform Mr Faithfull, I do not have eyesight problems, because I did see a fox running away.
