Re SBC whitewash:
We already know that the chief executive and the cabinet of Scarborough Borough Council are somewhat out of step with the public by the policies over public toilet provision.
To not be properly aware of what was happening in the council’s activities makes them incompetent.
Or to have known and not taken action would be complicit.
To receive written evidence and end up in a hearing that judges said was a whitewash is damning.
When are the chief executive and Cllr Bastiman going to resign?
Do they have no integrity or shame, or is it that in this brave new digital and social media world such qualities no longer exist?
And where do the rest of the cabinet stand, what of their integrity? Are we now due to another, bigger, more expensive, whitewash?
