Better late than never and welcome that West Pier toilet facilities are to undergo a major refurbishment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to create a facility to be proud of and which should include modern equipment for disabled visitors and residents. We would welcome the council to confirm that this will be the case. Many councils and national outlets (Tesco) are doing so.
As grandparents of a severely disabled little girl we deplore the fact that the only option for changing is the floor of a public (often not very clean) toilet.
Therefore we would ask the council to be forward-thinking and show what can be done. We recommend any reader or council member to go to www. change.org and see the issues.
