Partnership: Threatening our rights

I find it extraordinary that, while many people rail against EU regulations and many Scots want independence from the UK, hardly anyone is talking about the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), which severely threatens our democratic rights.

Under the partnership, which is currently being negotiated, we could not protect our NHS, other public services and our environment.

If our government made laws to protect them, any large corporation which saw its future profits threatened could sue the government for loss of profits. The judgement would be in a secret unaccountable court and we could have to pay out millions of pounds.
