Sell-off of rescue service must be stopped

The recently announced privatisation of the Air Rescue Service is a government sponsored scandal of the highest order. It must be stopped before the contract is signed and irreversible. The £1.6bn cost of the deal should be spent on new British made helicopters to replace the venerable Sea Kings that have served the RAF and Royal Navy so well for three decades. Nothing less will suffice. Write to our MP now and tell him that he will lose your vote if this shabby deal with a foreign company goes through.
