Statues need a good home

I just wonder who is in charge of siting these wonderful statues we have had given by Maureen Robinson.

First of all our Freddie. I remember distinctly being told that Freddie was to be moved back to his original imposing site instead of behind a wall, that not only makes him look smaller but enables people to climb all over him. I have on many occasions seen this and so will many people.

Now I learn that Filey’s statue has had the same treatment by moving him to near the ice cream parlour, have you seen the queues in summer? Yet again belittling the original intention of a massive work to be admired photographed by everyone.

Come on Scarborough, get the gist and put these statues where they will mean most.
