THANK YOU to Scarborough Hospital.
My stepfather, Ernest (Ted) Storey, recently died in Scarborough Hospital and my mother, Mary Storey, wants to say how much we all appreciated the care given to Ted by everyone on Beech Ward during the last few weeks of his life.
It could not have been bettered. Throughout those final weeks both my mother and my stepfather were treated with gentleness, courtesy and sensitivity.
Nurses and doctors worked hard to keep Ted comfortable, patiently and sympathetically explaining all possible options; helpful housekeeping staff kept his room immaculate – and also recognised when a cup of tea was needed by exhausted relatives.
We did say thank you at the time but would welcome the opportunity to repeat our thanks through your paper.
