Wind turbines will spoil a special view

I HAVE recently learned that there is a proposal to erect two wind turbines on the heritage coastline near the village of Burniston.

I have visited the East Coast of Yorkshire for 45 years and my most favourite view is the one from Cloughton looking towards the castle.

Who in their right mind would want to spoil that very special view?

Hopefully someone at the local council will have the sense to refuse this proposal and suggest other means of renewable energy.

I was impressed with the careful thought that went into ensuring that the water treatment plant resembled a farm building on the coastline, so please do not take a backward step and put two wind turbines in an area of great beauty.

I am a great fan of Scarborough and would ask you to care for the wonderful landscape you live in.
