Scarborough borough voters urged to act ahead of possible summer elections
Scarborough Council will send a household notification letter to every household this week so that residents can check whether the voter information for their household is correct.
Instructions will be included on the form for those that need to make a change. If the information is correct, no action is required.

Hide AdIn May, elections for North Yorkshire County Council are due to take place, though due to the ongoing pandemic and also possible Local Government Reorganisation in the region no decision has yet been made on if it will go ahead as planned.
Elections for North Yorkshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner are also due to be held.
In light of the pandemic, Scarborough Council is also encouraging people to consider applying for a postal vote to save having to visit a polling station, a trip they might not feel comfortable doing.
A postal vote application form can be downloaded here or people can ring Customer First on 01723 232323 and ask for one to be posted to them.
