Second driver caught speeding at 127mph on A64 near Malton

A second driver has been caught speeding at almost double the speed limit near Malton, police have revealed.

Yesterday it was reported by The Scarborough News that a driver had been caught by police speeding at 126mph on the A64 near Malton.

Police have now revealed that a second driver has been clocked speeding at 127mph on the same stretch of road.

The incident took place over the weekend on the A64 near Malton in a 70mph zone.

The North Yorkshire Police Traffic Bureau say the driver was visited by officers yesterday afternoon where they admitted to the speeding offence, with a file now being prepared for court action.
