THE HITMAN: Ricky Hatton is heading for Scarborough

Known as ‘The Hitman’, the Mancunian was a huge fans’ favourite during his career and he’ll be heading to Scarborough Spa on Saturday September 4.

Competing between 1997 and 2012, Hatton won a number of belts including the WBO Inter-Continental light-welterweight title, WBU light-welterweight title, the WBA (Super) light-welterweight title and the WBC International light-welterweight title.

On June 23 2007, Hatton arguably put in the performance of his life with a fourth-round knockout of Jose Luis Castillo, the first time he had been counted out.

Hatton’s standout victory undoubtedly came when he dethroned Kostya Tszyu at the MEN Arena in 2005, the Australian retiring at the end of the 11th round after a gruelling battle.

During his 15-year career, Hatton had challenges both in and out of the ring.

On the night, The Hitman will take a trip down memory lane, talking you through his most fierce challenges both in the ring and out, as well as those two nights in Las Vegas against Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, both ultimately ending in stoppage defeats.

This promises to be a fantastic evening with one of the best speakers on the circuit.

Hatton is renowned for his sense of humour and excellent stories.

Standard ticket are priced at £35 plus booking fees with VIP tickets at £50 plus booking fees, which include meet and greet plus professional photo with Hatton.
