Scarborough boxer Matthew Tinker lands fight at Madison Square Garden
Scarborough boxer Matthew Tinker is set to fight at Madison Square Garden on St Patrick’s Day.
The Scarborough fighter, now based in New York, has quickly wrapped up two first-round knockout victories in two professional fights to date, and will look to extend that run on March 17.
The 28-year-old southpaw fights on the undercard of Michael Conlon’s fight against Belmar Preciado.
Tinker said: “I can’t wait to get back in the ring.
“It’ll be great to fight at Madison Square Garden on such a big card.”
Tinker follows in the footsteps of Scarborough sporting legend Paul Ingle, who famously beat native New Yorker Junior Jones at the Garden.
