OVER £800 was raised for St Catherine's Hospice at the memorial match for former Eastfield footballers, father and son Mick and Glen Salt.
A current batch of Eastfield players including former Boro defender Marcus Jones and boxing star Danny Price defeated a team of ex-Eastfield players 7-3 at Eastway.
Mick's son Craig hit the first goal for the ex-players while Glen's son Liam netted four for the current team.
Craig said: "It was a brilliant day, we managed to raise lots of money and everyone enjoyed it. I would like to thank all who donated cash and raffle prizes.
"Wally Hicks was the oldest player at 72, while Baz Jones was captain of the former players side and he was Glen's best friend."
