Skipper Andrew Gale and Gary Ballance both hit centuries as Yorkshire fought back on day three of their LV County Championship clash against Nottinghamshire at North Marine Road.
The Tykes started the day in choppy waters on 29-3 but they quickly got back on the front foot with both Gale and Phil Jaques starting well.
Aussie Jaques made it to 51 before England spinner Samit Patel had him caught by another potential England star, James Taylor with Yorkshire on 121-4.
That brought Ballance to the crease and he set about forming a stunning partnership with his skipper Gale.
Gale was the first to reach three figures, making it to his first ton since 2011 with a six over long-off off the bowling of Patel.
Yorkshire took tea in a solid position on 235-4, before both batsmen continued to dominate the Notts attack after the interval.
Gale passed 150 from 273 balls with a four before Ballance found the mid-wicket boundary to bring up his century and Yorkshire finished the day on 358-4.
Skipper Gale will start day four unbeaten on a career best 159, with Ballance going well on 103, with the game looking likely to be heading for a draw.
