It will be an especially busy weekend for Mikey, as he is marrying fiancee Sarah Coates on Saturday, with several of his wedding party set to be included in his side.

The Scarborough RUFC player said: “It’s certainly going to be a busy weekend for me.

“The weekend’s events start with Friday’s race night and disco at the Red Lion pub, 7.30pm, and there will also be a raffle.

“On Sunday we have the cricket match, I hope I can lead my side to their seventh successive win as I have steered my line-up to victory in all six games so far.

“My brother’s team did win the first match but that was before it became a memorial match.

“I know what my team is but we generally keep the line-ups secret from each other to add to the competition.

“The party atmosphere carries on into the evening and it should be a great day for everyone.”

The event starts at 12.30pm on Sunday with a family fun day with races and ‘old school’ events and a ladies rounders match.

There will be refreshments and a barbecue throughout the afternoon and another raffle as well as live music into the evening.
