Dan Reardon’s outstanding form for Ganton continued with a stylish 70 as the hosts posted 153-6, veteran John Sarup adding a steady 29, while Anoush George took 3-48 for the visitors.

Fred Bradley, 3-35, and Edward Bradley, 2-21, looked to have bowled Ganton into a winning position but Johnson had other ideas as he and the number 11 batsman saw Nomads home.

Snainton once again showed their quality with a crushing 218-run win at a depleted Ravenscar 2nds side.

Leigh Watson hammered 67 and Paul Nicholson an unbeaten 66 as the runs flowed freely, Michael Eyre having earlier hit 29 and Matthew Davies adding 31 as the leaders showed no mercy against a weakened home bowling attack.

Ravenscar’s misery was then completed as they slumped to 41 all out.

Wykeham 3rds kept their promotion challenge on track with a 181-run home win against Thornton Dale 2nds.

Mick Ellis hammered an unbeaten 69 after Robin Shepherdson had laid the foundations for the hosts with a steady 67, Graham Shannon chipping in with 42 as Wykeham posted 228-5.

Dale then stumbled to 47 all out as Wykeham’s young bowlers ran riot.

Cayton 3rds are still in third spot after winning by six wickets at basement club Scalby 3rds.

Stalwarts Stan Jackson, 39no, and Phil Perry, 32, ensured that Scalby made a game out of it with a total of 120-6, Daz Jones snapping up 3-29.

Jones then smacked 36, with journeyman Will Wood’s unbeaten 25 seeing the visitors safely to victory.

Pete Hill shone with bat and ball as Flixton 3rds boosted their division A promotion ambitions with a 127-run hammering of visitors Wold Newton 2nds.

Hill top scored with a superb 78 as the home side racked up 192-7, Tony Rudeforth adding 41.

Hill than snapped up 4-8 as Newton were dismissed for 65.

John Moxon’s unbeaten 73 helped Lockton earn a 26-run win at basement club Forge Valley 3rds.

Matthew Nettleton’s 5-37 helped Valley peg Lockton back to 159-9, but young seam bowler James Boyes took 3-21 to help Lockton limit the hosts to 133-9 despite a knock of 38 from seasoned campauigner Pete Wannop.

Nawton Grange 2nds made sure they stay in the hunt for promotion with a 135-run win at home to Sherburn 2nds.

Adam Durrant hit 43, while Neil Ward added 35 and Richard Wardell 31 as Grange were dismissed for 161.

The top Sherburn bowlers were Jack Pickard, 4-36, and Dan Phillips, 4-68.

In reply Sherburn buckled to 25 all out in the face of top bowling from George Bentley, 4-7.
