Elliot Hatton sparkles as Folkton & Flixton march into last 16 of the National Village Cup

Folkton & Flixton marched into the last 16 of the National Village Cup with a rapid nine-wicket win at York League side Patrington on Sunday.

Folkton & Flixton secured another National Village Cup win on Sunday

Youngster Elliot Hatton snapped up a superb 6-10 in eight overs as the hosts crumbled to 48 all out in 19.5 overs.

Max Harland took 2-2 in 11 balls and Rich Malthouse 2-7 in six overs as Folkton & Flixton dominated with the ball.

Skipper Tom Norman (18no) and Malthouse then shared an opening stand of 48, the latter falling for 18 with the scores level, Flixton securing the win from just 8.4 overs.

Folkton & Flixton will now head into the last 16 where they travel to Cheshire side Alvanley on Sunday July 4.
