Scarborough’s North Marine Road ground will host international cricket in 2014 with England Women taking on India in ODI action.
Following the club’s successful staging of the England Lions in 2011, the ECB have handed England Women’s ODI clash against India on Friday August 29 2014 to Scarborough.
Scarborough Cricket Club chairman Bill Mustoe was delighted with the news.
He said: “It’s great news for everyone at the club and for the town of Scarborough as a whole.
“The ECB approached us directly to host this game after the excellent reports we got after hosting the Lions game.
“Women’s cricket is on the up at the moment and we’re right up there at the top of the list for hosting games like this now and that’s great.”
Yorkshire’s first class fixtures for 2014 were also released this week with a slight re-shuffle to the usual Scarborough Cricket Festival for its 128th year.
Middlesex and Sussex visit for four-day LVCC games while Essex and Derbyshire will be in town for action in the Royal London One Day Cup.
Mustoe added: “I think it’s good for the town that we’ve got these fixtures.
“We’d have liked a t20 game, but after discussions we decided the 50-over games were better options for us as the t20 games will be played on Friday nights.
“Everything is in place for a good year in 2014.”
