An excellent all-round team effort helped Folkton & Flixton to a 101-run home win against Becket League Division One side Great Habton in their area final.

The visitors started brightly in the North Yorkshire (North) Regional final as the hosts were struggling at 20-2, skipper Ryan Boyes dismissing Rich Malthouse, before Max Fraser ran out Flixton skipper Tom Norman (8).

Flixton rebuilt, Jake Hatton (46) and Will Hutchinson (32) taking the score up to 92 with their 72-run third-wicket stand.

Fine work from Stuart Watmore (3-26) looked to swing the game back in Habton's favour, as Flixton were reduced to 126-5, but the hosts' long batting order proved to be dangerous as Will Norman hit 43 and Elliot Hatton 30 while Conor Stephenson crashed a 14-ball 35 including three sixes and two fours as the hosts posted 242-8.

The visitors made a scratchy start, slipping to 33-4 as Stephenson and Hatton took two wickets apiece.

Skipper Ryan Boyes (37) and Fraser (47) rebuilt steadily, but after their dismissal Harry Walmley (3-14) mopped up the tail as Habton were all out for 141.
