Snainton CC have withdrawn their under-15s team due to a lack of numbers and more could follow suit before the first ball of the season is bowled.

Their resignation means that teams that were due to play Snainton will have a bye, with league secretary Malcolm Maw hopeful that they may be able to add a couple of fixtures for each of the remaining teams, which will still give them 10 matches for the season.

Revised fixtures and cup draws for all age groups are due to be circulated in the next couple of days.

Maw said: “Hopefully there will be no more withdrawals, but I am aware that a few more clubs are struggling for numbers.”
