North Marine Road played host to two ODIs as England beat India on both occassions, and although the games only attracted 600 through the gate for each day, Mustoe has received positive feedback from the ECB and is hoping to build on that going forward.

Mustoe said: “The lessons we learned from the two games are that the development of women’s cricket in the north of England is going to take time.

“I think they enjoy bigger crowds in the south, but the ECB were happy with everything and how we organised the two games here.

“It’s a relationship we’ll be looking to build on now.

“It’s a great tick in the box for Scarborough Cricket Club.”

England beat India in both their games, with captain Charlotte Edwards’ 108 not out helping them to a 2-0 series win.

Mustoe added: “The standard of cricket was impressive.”
