The area’s top young cricketing prospects will be benefitting from the expertise and coaching of England under-16s’ elite training director Andy Rowsall over the next eight weeks.
Rowsall was on hand for the group’s first session at Scarborough RUFC’s Silver Royd sports hall on Saturday morning along with coaches John Ward, Rob Green and Mark Welford.
Fifty-one of the 62 children on the programme braved the snow to get to the first session.
The development group starts their two sessions at Bramcote this week as well. The scheme has 120 youngsters enrolled this year, aged from seven to 17.
