Scarborough Cricket Club’s disappointing Yorkshire League season ended with a five-wicket loss at Appleby Frodingham on Saturday.
The visitors were dismissed for 142 from 45 overs, with 20 apiece from Darren Harland and Chris Grey the only high points for Scarborough.
Kieran Hindley, with four wickets for only nine runs from four overs was the pick of the home attack.
Sam Carver took two wickets to give Scarborough hope but the home side, boosted by an unbeaten 56 from David Brent, eased home from only 20 overs.
This results saw Scarborough finish the season second-from-bottom in the league table.
