Yorkshire stalwart Ryan Sidebottom did a special Q&A at a fundraising night at Staxton Cricket Club on Friday.
The left-arm bowler did a special session with the club’s youngsters before taking to the microphone to answer questions at the clubhouse.
New Staxton skipper James Armstong was delighted with how the evening went.
He said: “The evening was a massive success, mainly due to the hard work of Adam Hargreaves, Jodie Robson and Mick Witty.
“Thank you to Adrian Colling Butchers, Owzat Cricket and Cellars for raffle prizes, Richard Flinton, the compere for the evening, Andy Dove and Kyle Outhart for running the race night and everyone else who made the evening run so smoothly.
The evening raised £435 - £325 to Scarborough Hospital, £50 for Josh Cooper, who is running the Great North Run in September and £85 for Staxton Juniors.
