Beckett League premier division leaders Staxton were put to the sword by 2011 winners Heslerton, but with second-placed Ebberston losing to Flamborough, Staxton will be crowned champions as, with two matches remaining, they lead by 41 points.
Heslerton’s opening bowlers Adam Spaven and Kristian Wilkinson were in inspired form at Staxton, dismissing the hosts for a paltry 69.
Spaven claimed 5-34 from his 14 overs and Wilkinson snapped up 5-32 from 13.5, with only Nick Gibson, 16, and Chris Dove, 17, reaching double figures.
After tea, and despite trying six bowlers, the visitors knocked off the runs for the loss of two wickets, Anthony Stones ending the match with a six to finish unbeaten on 25.
Earlier Sam Triffitt scored 20 and Alex Carrie 14, the openers putting on 32 before a wicket fell.
Ebberston retain second place after being beaten on their own track by Flamborough by one wicket.
Ady Turnbull 43 and Alex Machen 25 were the home team’s principle scorers out of a total of 153, Mark Davies taking 6-61 from his 19 overs.
Replying Simon Leeson, 65, and his brother Andy, 44, put Flamborough on the winning trail but David Marshall, 14no, and Ben Traves, 4no, sneaked to victory with just two balls remaining.
