Ebberston 2nds and Heslerton 2nds both gained home victories to pull clear of their rivals at the top of division A.
Leaders Ebberston were involved in a high-scoring match at home to Oriel, winning by 29 runs.
Eddie Swiers showed his all-round capabilities with a powerful 67 as the hosts posted 194-9, with Frankie Beal and Joe Tyson smacking 32 apiece and James Gunn weighing in with 29. Paul Greenhough taking 4-43 and paceman Jamie Haxby securing 3-4.
Haxby’s forceful 75 kept Oriel in the hunt, but a stunning spell of 5-30 from Sam Hardy saw the visitors dismissed for 165.
Heslerton edged to a three-wicket win in a game dominated by bowlers at home to Forge Valley 3rds.
Veteran John Wharton scooped 5-49 and James Duffill 3-20 as Valley were sent back to the pavilion for 91 runs, despite the best efforts of Phil Holden, 40, and Eric Hall, 35.
Duffill was the only batsman to star for the hosts as they lost seven wickets in pursuit of victory, Sean Pinder taking 4-27 to keep Valley in the game.
Flamborough 2nds moved into second place in the division B table after a convincing nine-wicket win at fellow promotion-chasers Kirkbymoorside 2nds.
Duncan England recorded outstanding figures of 5-12 as the Moorsiders crumbled to 75 all out, Alan Stadler snapping up 4-24.
Andy Dixon’s unbeaten 53 steered the visitors safely to victory.
Sewerby 3rds also boosted their own promotion credentials with a nine-wicket triumph at home to Flixton 3rds.
Sam Wragg tore through the Flixton batting line-up with figures of 5-16, the visitors collapsing to 83 all out.
