York League sides ready to open up

The area’s cricket teams will be looking for a solid start to their respective York Senior League seasons on Saturday.

Pickering and Malton and Old Malton will both be looking for hefty points hauls when they get underway in division one.

There will be plenty of changes to the Pickering side when they travel to Goole Town.

Malton will include former Scarborough and Ebberston all-rounder Tom Bumby in their team following his arrival from Forge Valley.

Meanwhile, Malton have lost both Tom Hoggard and Matthew Watson to Stamford Bridge and Scarborough respectively.

Division two will boast both Duncombe Park and Hovingham.

Park have been boosted by the addition of Sean Wilson from Kirkbymoorside for their first game at Selby.
