Fans urged to snap up tickets for Carnegie clash at Silver Royd

Rugby fans can still snap up tickets for the Yorkshire Carnegie v Rotherham Titans game at Scarborough RUFC on Friday October 10, 8pm kick-off.

The Scarborough RUFC operation manager Graeme Jeffrey said: “Sales of tickets are going well for the On the Road British & Irish Cup game already but I am keen to emphasis that people who book in advance will make a saving as opposed to matchday admissions.

“The charge is £10 for adults if they book tickets in advance, and £5 for over-65s, with under-16s free of charge. If you go along on the day the prices will be £11 for adults and and £6 for over-65s.

“So if you come along to the reception desk at the clubhouse, at any time throughout the day before next Friday, you can purchase your tickets for the game. It would be great to get a good crowd down here for the match.”

Jeffrey added: “It is a great honour for Yorkshire Carnegie to come here as part of the On The Road scheme where they take matches to clubs around the county. I think the fact Sir Ian McGeechan, who is their chairman, was a guest at the Yorkshire v Lancashire game here earlier this year may have helped.”

Anyone interested in going along to the game can also ring the club on 357740 for further information.

Later this month, Carnegie will take on Welsh opposition, which is yet to be decided, as they return to Hull Ionians for a third consecutive season, on Saturday October 25, 2.30pm ko.

Finally, Yorkshire Carnegie face Ulster Ravens at Huddersfield YMCA on Sunday December 7 at 2.30pm in the first competitive meeting between the two sides.
