Ash Jackson signs new deal for Scarborough Athletic

Full-back Ash Jackson has become the latest Boro player to sign up for the 2021-22 campaign.

Boss Jono Greening was over moon with his addition, he said: “I’m really pleased to have Jacko on board.

“He’s a great lad, a good athlete, who is strong and can play in a few positions, which is great for a manager.”

Athletic have also confirmed two more friendly dates for pre-season.

They will head to Bradford Park Avenue on Friday August 6, 7.45pm ko.

Boro have also confirmed the Dave Holland Memorial Trophy match against Bridlington Town for Tuesday July 13 at the Flamingo Land Stadium, also kicking off at 7.45pm.

Boro have appointed Vic Florey as Head of Academy Operations.

He is fully qualified, holding a UEFA B License, working around the world in countries such as Zimbabwe, Australia, Germany and also at Leeds United as Head of Education and Welfare.

He was responsible for developing the young players at Leeds including Jonathan Woodgate until financial difficulties put a strain on the club, prompting a move to Australia.
