Scarborough Athletic are calling for fans to help push them over the line in the Evo-Stik North.

With Boro fighting for promotion to the Evo-Stik Premier, the club are hoping that this carrot is enough to coax a few more supporters through to turnstiles.

Boro are currently third in the Evo-Stik North’s home attendance chart behind Darlington and Spennymoor with an average crowd of 344.

Director Geoff Osguthorpe said: “ We are looking at ways to incentivise and reward our loyal fans over the remaining home games starting with the Lancaster game on Saturday.

“Everyone who comes through the gates will get a raffle ticket to win a prize.

“This will be corporate hospitality for two which hold a value of around £ 84.

“Our target at the start of the campaign was based on average crowd of 400, which we hoped would be achievable with our switch to the Northern League, at the moment we are falling short on reaching this target.

“However it would be a huge boost to the club if everyone came and backed the club for our remaining home games just like they did in our promotion year.

“With the bumper Darlington home game to come, there is no reason that with the help of our fans why we can’t get close to achieving this.

“Not only would it provide the club with a financial boost, but it would provide a big vocal boost from the terraces to the players who are currently doing wonders on the pitch.”
