Right-wing wizard Tony Aveyard is the latest player to take his place in the Scarborough News’ best-ever Scarborough XI.
Aveyard, who sadly passed away in May of 1977, was a key figure in Boro’s run to the FA Trophy final at Wembley.
He has been fondly remembered by Boro fans as was a comfortable winner of the vote for this position in our all-time team.
Now it is time to cast your mind back over the years to ponder the left side of midfield.
All you have to do is send us your decision via texting 65550 or by emailing Boroxi@jpress.co.uk before next midday next Wednesday.
Thus far you have picked Ian Ironside as your favourite keeper, with a defence of John Kay, Harry Dunn, Jason Rockett and Neil Thompson in front of him, with Aveyard taking up the first midfield berth.
