SCARBOROUGH Athletic FC have unveiled their new strips and a new sponsor for the 2011-12 season.
For the upcoming season, each of the club’s five sides, from the first team to the under-12s, will be kitted out in new red and white Adidas strips.
The home strip will be an all red affair, in keeping with Scarborough’s football traditions, and the away strip will be white and red.
Adorning the front of the first team home strip will be onlinecurtainfabrics.com, owned by Boro fan Craig Patton and run from a shop in Victoria Road.
Patton, a former supporters’ club chairman, said: “I wanted to get involved as I believe the club needs local backers. We did the deal back in March.
“It’s great to see the manager and players we have in place now. It’s going to be an exciting season and I’m happy to be able to help out.”
The away strip will feature Harpers Fish and Chips of Staxton once again.
Manager Rudy Funk said of the strips: “The club’s professionalism is just amazing.
“The new strip looks fantastic. It is a proper brand, and the shirts are fit to wear at Wembley.
“Each of the lads think they are marvellous!”
The Reserves strips will feature the sponsorships of Pinewood Holiday Park, and Yorkshire Coast College have sponsored Steve Brennan’s side’s away strip.
The under-19s will be sponsored by Premier League Sports, an internet-based merchandise company run by local football coach Warren Foster - father of Boro player Luke Foster.
Both the under-16s and under-12s will also wear the same red home strip.
The first team shirts, which are priced at £38 or £70 for both, will be available to purchase prior to the season starting. The shirts will be on sale in the Online Curtain Fabrics shop in Victoria Road, via the club website or at matches.
The shirts are sized from small junior, up to XXXL.
