Boro back at Queensgate

Scarborough Athletic are back on home ground this Saturday when they entertain Newcastle Town.

Boro haven’t turned out at Queensgate since the 3-1 defeat against Romulus at the very beginning of the month.

That was the start of a run of three consecutive defeats, followed by last weekend’s postponement at Bedworth United.

In contrast, Newcastle have charged into the play-off places with a combination of solid results.

Boro boss Rudy Funk said: “Newcastle have a young team of enthusiastic players, who will give us a tough game.

“We are back at home for the first time in a while, which will be good, so we are now hoping for a positive result.”
