Bamber Bridge and Colne have been deducted one point, opponents Ramsbottom four and Prescot Cables three after all fielded ineligible players.

This is something of a shot in the arm to Boro's outside hopes of making the play-offs.

Boss Steve Kittrick said: "It makes our position a little easier, but we just have to maintain our focus.

"We have seven games left this season and all of them are huge fixtures."

Boro will welcome Adam Bolder and Craig Nelthorpe back into the squad, but they will be without keeper Tom Morgan, who has made the switch to Farsley.

Kittrick added: "We are at full strength, having Adam and Craig available, which is good news.

"Tom has decided to move on though because he used to be at Farsley, he lives near there and we have three keepers on our books.

"We wish him all the best for the future."
