Holland has also moved to ease any financial concerns, underlining that he and the rest of the board would do whatever is necessary to keep the club on an even keel.Worries began to emerge on Boro fan’s website the Surfing Seadog last week, with a handful casting doubt over the club’s spending.Boro had a rocky ride both on and off the field last season, resulting in the board asking fans for a donation of £25,000.But Holland says that signs of an increase in gates, other funding opportunities opening up and a good working relationship with boss Steve Kittrick means that the club is keen to remain on track as it moves towards next season’s return to Scarborough.Holland said: “We are only a third of the way into the season. “If we feel that we need to change things then we’ll change them, but crowds are starting to go up, we are doing well on the pitch and things are looking more positive off the field for our move to Scarborough.“I have said before, the board will not let the club die. It was a challenge last year because we were put in a position by poor results, which meant that the crowds dipped and funds dropped.“Things are starting to look up now, so we are not going to be spooked by social media and the damaging rumours on it about our financial situation.“It is quite depressing for everyone working so hard behind the scenes to bring football back to Scarborough when this sort of thing starts circulating.”“This goes beyond simply causing unrest in our supporters. Other teams are looking in, players are looking in. It knocks morale, it knocks commitment, and it erodes everything we are trying to do.”Holland insists the board are working within their restraints. He added: “We’re working closely with our management team and they are working within the playing budget.“For Steve and Chris to arrange a team like they have with the money they have available is a testament to their ability.”
