Scarborough exited the FA Trophy with a 2-0 defeat at Shaw Lane.
Things started badly for Steve Kittrick’s side when Jameel Ible was given a straight red card following an off the ball altercation with Shaw Lane striker Kieran Lugsden after just five minutes.
From the resulting free-kick Rob Bordman curled his shot around the Boro defensive wall and nestled it in the bottom corner.
The home side added a second as Boro failed to clear their lines, with the ball looping up for Bordman to hit a sweet shot on the volley beyond Jordan Porter.
Despite a Boro rally in the second half they could not pierce a solid home defence, and a further blow saw Scott Brown receive his marching orders for a late challenge on Steve Istead to leave the visitors down to nine men.
After this there was no way back for Boro as Shaw Lane advanced to face Frickley Athletic in the next round.
