Boro ready to tackle Belper

Scarborough Athletic boss Rudy Funk will have a full squad to select from when his side play host to Belper Town on Saturday.

Funk will still be guarding against fatigue edging its way into his squad though, as he now has almost 20 players to select from.

Paul Foot will return from illness and it is hoped that Ryan Blott and Joe Lamplough will be somewhere near after niggling injuries.

Boro can also call on Hull City youngster Jack Barlow, who is expected to play a bigger part than his cameo at Sutton Coldfield on Saturday.

Barlow completed a loan signing until the end of the season last week.

Funk said: “Everyone should be available for the game, Paul will be back and we are hoping the other lads have fully recovered from their injuries.

“There is a good chance we could see more of Jack Barlow as well.

“He came on and looked good at the weekend. He is the sort of player that likes to ge the ball down and play, so that fits in with us perfectly.

“Hopefully Jack will give us that bit of a helping hand to push us on this season.

“A lot of the that lads have played the whole season so far, which hasn’t been easy because there are a lot of games.

“We need to make sure that there is no tiredness in the squad, it is vital we stay fresh.”

Boro will be on a revenge mission on Saturday as they lost out at Belper earlier in the season, despite comfortably being the better side.

Funk added: “There have been a few matches this season when we have been the better side but we have come away from the game with nothing. This is a problem we are looking to iron out.”
