Coulson names rep side for Brid game

ALEC Coulson and Kev David will lead their Scarborough & District League team out in a friendly warm-up with Bridlington Town on Tuesday night.

The pair have selected a 16-man squad for this game at Queensgate, though they may still make the odd alteration before the big North Yorkshire derby clash with the York League at Bootham Crescent on March 15.

Coulson said: “It is a difficult squad to pick because everybody would select different players, this is just our take on it.

“We are treating this game as a warm-up fixture, a chance for the lads to get to play together and also a chance for me and Kev to have a look at some players.

“There are obviously a few lads that can’t make it, so things might change a little before we make the final decision about the squad to play York.”

Brid boss Mitch Cook added: “We are delighted to help out the Scarborough and District League in any way we can.

“It is a great opportunity for these local lads to put themselves in the shop window

“We can obviously give a few fringe players a run-out, though it does also allow me to have a look at the best in the league.”
