Fantasy League: Sample turns up the heat on leader Cooke
Carl Sample closed the gap on long-standing Scarborough News Fantasy League leader Simon Cooke at the weekend.
Sample’s #UpTheBurn side grabbed 74 points to move within striking distance of Cooke, who managed 63 points.
Sample was boosted by the performance of Leicester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez, who totalled 21 points, and in-form Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, who got him 16 points.
Jamie Ramm and Brad Milburn are locked on 861 points in joint third.
Alec Coulson’s Ridsdale Rovers stay rooted adrift at the foot of the table in 209th position after managing only 16 points.
