SCARBOROUGH Athletic and landlords Bridlington Town are all set for a derby festive feast.
The sides will do battle on two occasions over the Christmas period. The first game will be on Boxing Day, and that will swiftly be followed by a game on January 3.
Boro were originally lined up to be playing games on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, but these fixtures have now been altered by the league.
The trip to Parkgate, which was scheduled for Christmas Eve, will now be played on November 8, while the home game against Tadcaster, originally lined up for New Year’s Eve, will now go ahead on November 22.
Boro secretary John Clarke said: “It has been set up nicely by the league committee to for a thrilling festive period of football.
“Playing our landlords and derby rivals Bridlington Town twice over the period will provide a good deal of interest for both sets of fans.
“I know we are really looking forward to the games.”
Both clubs will be looking for some good attendances for the games, as the past seven games between the sides since Boro’s formation have averaged gates of 793.
The league have also moved the home game against Staveley to November 15, while the trip to Arnold Town will be played on Easter Monday.
