Steve Kittrick has had confirmation that defenders Shane Killock, Dave Merris and Paul Robson have accepted terms, while midfielders Jamie Price and Eddy Birch are also keen to sign.

Boro are now waiting on Matty Bloor and Steve Mallory, who Kittrick has also offered deals to. The Boro chief will be meeting up with centre-back Dean Lisles next week.

As well as this, Kittrick has spoken to a 19-year-old striker, who he expects to hear back from in the not too distant future.

He said: "It is a busy time for us. We are working our way through the current squad, as well as having a few chats with some other lads.

"Eddy, Paul, Shane, Dave and Jamie have all agreed, I've offered deals to Matty and Steve as well.

"I'm meeting up with Dean next week, I've also spoken to Ryan Blott and told him that there will be something for him if he can get himself fit over the summer.

"Players are doing their rounds at the moment, like they do, but I've been speaking to a 19-year-old striker and I'm waiting to hear back from him."
