FRUSTRATION was etched into the face of Scarborough Athletic manager Rudy Funk after last night’s 2-2 home draw against Nostell.
Boro hit back after falling two behind, but they failed to show up in a dismal second half, which was totally devoid of action.
Funk said: “I am a little disappointed, but I was upbeat about a couple of things.
“The partnership between Ryan Blott and Adam Lee and their goals cheered me up after the terrible mistakes that saw us fall behind early on.
“You have to ask yourself what some players are doing on the park when they make mistakes like that. It was just childish defending.
“We bounced back after that and hauled ourselves on level terms, so it isn’t all doom and gloom.
“We just didn’t come out in the second half and didn’t take hold of the game, which is something I found very frustrating.
“We were playing long balls that didn’t hurt the opposition. Prior to that we had caused problems with the ball on the floor. I don’t know why this changed.”
