SCARBOROUGH Athletic boss Rudy Funk is hoping to be at full strength when his side travel to Maltby Main in the NCEL Premier tomorrow.

Funk is waiting on midfielder Gary Hepples (leg), defender Denny Ingram (knee) and keeper Ed Eley (illness), but he is expecting to have Ant Lynam, Frank Belt and Matt Draper back in contention.

Boro have been buoyed by a fine run of form in recent weeks, which has seen them record three straight wins, bagging 12 goals in the process.

Boss Funk said: “The season is a long journey and this adventure has only just started. We have had to overcome a few hurdles so far, but now I think we have reached the motorway and we can really start putting our foot down.

“Maltby is a difficult place to go though, there are a good number of teams that have fallen under their axe in the past.

“It isn’t a game we can take lightly, you have to go to Maltby and battle.

“If we can produce the form and the football that we did against Pickering on Tuesday then I’m confident that we’ll be okay.”
